Stem of Jesse (Isaiah 11)

Up from the stem of Jesse, out of his root a branch will spring
The Spirit of God Almighty will rest on him
Wisdom and understanding, counsel and power and knowledge, He’ll bring
He will delight in the fear of the Holy God.

He will not judge by what He sees with His eyes, (human eyes)
His cut through to the motives of our hearts
He won’t decide by what He hears with his ears, (human cries)
He’ll bring forth the decisions that are just. CHORUS

He then will raise a banner for the nations, (for us all)
Lion and wolf will be sleeping with the lamb,
Earth will be full of the knowledge of Jehovah (hear His call)
His remnant will be gathered into His hand. CHORUS
